This policy applies to all products built and maintained by Aspire Budgeting, including our Google Sheets™ add-on, spreadsheet templates, and the Turbo subscription service (together, "Aspire Budgeting Services").
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here's what that means in practice:
When you use the Aspire Budgeting add-on, we may access your name and email address through your Google account. This allows us to manage your subscription and provide customer support. We'll never sell your personal information to third parties, and we won't use your name in marketing statements without your permission.
If you subscribe to Turbo, you will be asked to provide payment information. Credit card information is submitted directly to our payment processor and does not touch our servers. We store a record of the payment transaction for purposes of account history, invoicing, and billing support.
Our add-on operates within your Google Sheets™ spreadsheet. When you use Turbo features like auto-categorization, we may process transaction descriptions and category names to provide the service. We do not store your financial transaction data on our servers. Our privacy-first architecture works directly within your spreadsheet.
We collect information about your browsing activity on our website for analytics and statistical purposes such as understanding how visitors use our site. This includes your browser and operating system versions, your IP address, which web pages you visited and how long they took to load. We use this information to improve our website and services.
When you email us with a question or to ask for help, we keep that correspondence, including your email address, so that we have a history of past correspondence to reference if you reach out in the future.
To provide products or services you've requested. We use some third-party services to help run our applications and provide the Services to you, such as payment processing and analytics.
To help you troubleshoot or squash a software bug, with your permission. If at any point we need to access your account information to help you with a support case, we will ask for your consent before proceeding.
When required under applicable law. We are a U.S.-based operation. We will only disclose user data if compelled by legal process or in limited emergency circumstances. It is our policy to notify affected users before we disclose data unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.

All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted between our services and your browser. We use secure connections for all data transmission.
Your financial data lives in your own Google Sheets™ spreadsheet, which benefits from Google's security infrastructure. We do not maintain a separate database of your financial transactions.
We keep your information for the time necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. The length of time we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collected and use it and your choices, after which time we may delete and/or aggregate it.
If you cancel your subscription, we will retain only the minimum information necessary for legal and accounting purposes. We do not retain your financial transaction data as it lives in your spreadsheet and is never stored on our servers.
We may update this policy as needed to comply with relevant regulations and reflect any new practices. If we make significant changes, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and take reasonable steps to notify affected users.
